how to make screens for screen printing

so, how to make screens for screen printing?

Creating a screen that can be used for printing requires several steps during which we create a stencil, parts of which will be sealed to the passage of ink and parts of which will be open and through which the ink will pass to the shirt.

The steps to create a print-ready screen are:

1. First of all, clean the screen with soap and water to clean dirt and grease residues.

2. Apply emulsion uniformly on top of the grid.

3. Creating a film with the graphics.

4.  After drying the emulsion in the dark, the film is attached on top of the grid and a light is projected onto it. In this process, the areas of the emulsion that were under the printed slide and were not exposed to light will remain soft, while the parts that were exposed to light will harden.

5.  After the projection is finished, the soft emulsion that has not been exposed to light is washed off the mesh – and through these areas the ink will pass to the garment. The exposed areas will remain sealed and will not be washed.
